(Sengoku I, Jinson Daisō Shōki, 1st day of the 11th month Bunmei 6, 1474)

A famous document relating to the uprising of the Ikkō sect in alliance with Togashi Masachika. Apparently the commoners of the Ikkō sect (who state that they are not part of the unhindered light sect) together with assistance from warriors (shugodai allied to Masachika) have created a `Buddhist province` and killed a shugodai by the name of Kosugi (ally of Kōchiyo). Apparently some 2,000 Ikkō sect followers were killed in the uprising and the province laid waste. Masachika had apparently pledged to restore order, but at present the commoners were in charge (“matters were going as they had intended by their uprising”)
